In today’s digital age, enabling card payments has become increasingly important for businesses. With the rise of digital payments and the decline of cash transactions, accepting card payments is essential for staying competitive and meeting customer expectations.

Once you've created your store (Dine-In/Takeaway), we strongly recommend enabling payments so customers can pay via card, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Go to Stores > Settings > Payments > Activate Payments

For a Business (Limited Company) application you'll need:

  • Legal Business Name

  • Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)

  • Business owners' details (name, address, DOB, phone)

  • Business Account Bank Proof

For a Sole Trader application you'll need:

  • Trading Name

  • Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)

  • Bank Proof (under applicant's name).

Terms & Conditions

  • Please read our terms of service and make sure your business does not fall under our restricted services list.

  • Tick both boxes in order to proceed.

Afterwards, a pop up window will open. Don't forget to read and sign PCI.

Please note that our bank is required by AML laws to meet KYC (Know-Your-Customer) requirements and verifying your bank statement/welcome letter can take a few days.

You'll be notified via email when the application is received and another one when payments are approved.

Once everything is approved, click on the button, "Connect an existing account" and select the account you'd like to link to your store.

After approval, payments will be transferred to your account at the end of each day; it then takes two working days for the payment to hit your account.

Funds are transferred at the end of each day and they take 2 working days to arrive in your account. This means

Monday sales arrive on Wednesday

Tuesday sales arrive on Thursday

Wednesday sales arrive on Friday

Thursday sales arrive on Saturday

Friday, Saturday and Sunday sales arrive together on Tuesday

Payouts and Bank Holidays

It is important to note that on bank holidays, clearing for a specific currency may be closed and therefore Adyen cannot process payouts.

The payouts will be delayed in these instances.

If you have another store that belongs to a different company / legal entity you can create different accounts. Simply click on Create a new account.

You can also connect your existing payments account to a new store by clicking on 'Connect an existing account' > Select payments account > Connect
