Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Log Into Your Storekit Dashboard

  1. Go to the storekit dashboard and log in.

  2. Navigate to “Stores” in the sidebar.

Step 2: Set Opening Hours

  1. To properly set up pre-orders, first go to your store settings and click on “Opening Hours”.

  2. If you haven't set up your opening hours when initially creating your store, it will be “Open 24 hours” by default. To set your opening hours, toggle off “Open 24 hours” on the days you are open for business. You can then set up your opening hours for each day accordingly.

  3. Click “Save” once all done.

Step 3: Set Pickup/Delivery Slots

  1. Go back to your store settings and click on “Pre-Orders”.

  2. Enable to allow customers to order in advance:

    1. Toggle on to enable pre-orders.

    2. Toggle off to disable pre-orders. If disabled, your store will then use the "Preparation time" under Stores > Settings > Operations as the pickup/delivery time. Learn more here.

  3. Enable to allow customers to order outside of opening hours:

    1. Toggle on if you'd like customers to order outside of your opening hours.

    2. Customers will only be able to place pickup/delivery orders within your opening hours.

  4. Scroll down to “Pickup details”. Here, you can choose the time slot for the pre-orders, how many orders per slot you'd like to accept, accept on ASAP orders, max items per slot, a monetary limit per slot, and how many days in advance your customers can order from your store.

    1. Time slot length - Split up the day into equal slots customers can choose from when they order.

    2. Max orders per slot - Determines how many orders you can accept for every interval. When your max is reached, the time (for pick up or delivery) will no longer be available for new orders.

    3. ASAP Order - Allow customers to order without choosing a time slot

    4. Max items per slot - Limits the number of items you allow per time slot. Leave empty for unlimited items per time slot.

    5. Monetary limit per slot - Limit the total amount of orders allowed for the time slot by the sum of order totals. E.G. set a limit of £200 and customers will be prevented from ordering more within a timeslot.

    6. Limit future date selection - How far in advance customers can place orders (in days).

    7. Order cut-off - Defines how many days you need to prepare the order. E.G. if you’d like customers to only see slots 2 days from when they want to place an order, enter 2. If you can accept orders for the same day, simply leave it as 0.

  5. Then, scroll down to “Pickup times”. Here, you can set which days and times the orders can be delivered or collected. You can add multiple intervals per day, as much as your manpower can handle, and even set a monetary limit per slot.

  6. To set up delivery pre-order details, simply click on the “Delivery” tab beside “Pickup” and fill up the delivery details the same way it was done for pickup details.

  7. Once done, scroll down to “Delivery times”. If you have separate times for pickup and delivery, you can easily set your preferred hours here.

  8. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

Specific Pre-Order Days

You also have the option to open slots for specific dates. This is especially useful for when your pickup or delivery slots are far ahead in the future.

  1. Go to "Specific pre-order days" at the bottom of the Pre-orders settings page.

  2. Click on "Select dates" and choose from your desired dates from the dropdown list. You may select dates up to one year in advance.

Do keep in mind that these values will only override normal weekly slots, but inherit the same slot settings (time period, capacity, etc).

  3. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

Troubleshooting: Common Issues & Fixes

I’ve added my delivery times but my customers can’t see the delivery option on my menu.

This could be due to the store being set to pickup only. To check if delivery fulfillment is enabled, go to Settings > Operations > Fulfillment.
