With the rise in demand for convenient and contactless ordering, takeaway stores have become an integral part of the food service industry. Whether you're starting a new business or expanding your existing restaurant to include a takeaway option, setting up your takeaway store is quick and easy. You can be trading in as little as two hours!

Create your storekit account by clicking here

  • Choose the takeaway option after filling in your personal and business details.

  1. Select your takeaway solution

    • Go to Stores > Settings > Operations

    • For pickup: Tick Pickup and untick Delivery

    • For delivery: Tick Delivery and untick Pickup

  2. Set up your pre-order pickup times

  3. Create your menu

    Integrated - Easily sync/publish menu

    • Deliverect - All items must be synced from your POS to Deliverect. You will then be able to build your menu on Deliverect. Once your menu has been created on Deliverect, go to Menus > Publish menus > Select menu to publish > select storekit store.

      • Note: storekit only supports one menu to be published at a time to each store.

    • (Support guide: Deliverect/Lightspeed K/Comtrex/Centegra)

  4. Enable card payments

    • Full guide here. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via chat by clicking on the Chat Widget on the bottom right corner and we can help with your payment application.

    • For a Business (Limited Company) application you'll need:

      • Legal Business Name

      • Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)

      • Business owners' details (name, address, DOB, phone)

      • Business Account Bank Proof

For a Sole Trader application you'll need:

      • Trading Name

      • Personal details - Name, email, phone number. (The person associated with your storekit payments account should be one of your business' executives)

      • Bank Proof (under the applicant's name).

  5. Set up delivery zones (for delivery: optional)

    • You can add multiple delivery zones to a single store. This means different fees will occur at incremental distances.

    • All the delivery zones are measured by radius but won't necessarily be a circle. Apps like https://www.smappen.com/ will help visualise a more accurate delivery radius.

    • The “distance” refers to the outer bound of each delivery zone.

The “price” refers to the total delivery price paid for that zone.

    • Setting up delivery zones will overide the default delivery fee (can befound under Stores > Settings > Operations)

  6. Place a test order

    • Once your payment application has been approved, we suggest placing a test order to ensure everything has been set up correctly.

      • Integrated: The test order should print from your existing POS printer.

    • How to place a FREE test order using a discount code - full guide here

    • Standalone: Do you need a printer? We suggest the Star mC-Print3. Our hardware partner Commandear offers storekit software configured printers here

      • Alternatively, you can view Live Orders by going to Orders > Live Orders. There will be a notification bell every time an order is placed.

      • Want to check on pre-orders for a later date? Full guide here

  7. Post QR Codes or store URL on your social media platforms

    • Easily print/download your store's QR code

    • To get your store URL: Go to Stores > Click on your store > copy URL on the top of your browser

    • To download your QR code, go to Stores and click on QR Code > Download QR Code

  8. Go Live!
