Supplies

  • Polymer Clay

  • X-ACTO Knife

  • Magnets

  • Hot Glue

  • Baking Sheet and Oven

Instructions

  1. Once you've got your rainbow colors, work the clay to make it soft.

  2. Roll each clay color into long 1/8″ thick ropes.

  3. Lay the ropes next to each other in rainbow order (red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, violet) to create a long rainbow strip.

  4. Cut this strip into 4″ long sections and bend the pieces to form the rainbow shape.

  5. Use the X-acto knife to trim the ends of the rainbow. Then repeat to make as many rainbow DIY clay magnets as you like.

  6. Once they are all formed, place the rainbows on the baking sheet and bake at 275 F/135 C for 15 minutes.

  7. Let cool, then use a hot glue gun to attach the magnets to the back of the rainbows.
