How to Adjust Fees for Credit Card and Transfer Payments on StoriiCare

StoriiCare's Billing feature now includes the flexibility to manage transaction fees for credit card payments and transfers. This allows care centers to either pass these fees onto their clients, split the cost, or absorb the fees entirely. This guide will walk you through how to adjust these settings to meet the needs of your facility and your clients.

Accessing the Billing Settings

1. Log in to your StoriiCare account.

2. Navigate to the Billing section found typically in the dashboard or under a financial or settings tab.

Adjusting Transaction Fees

Within the Billing area, you will find options to manage how transaction fees are handled. Here are the steps to adjust these settings:

For Credit Card Payments

1. Find the Settings tab option.

2. Look for a section labeled Payment Settings.

3. Click on the checkbox to “Enable Card payments”.

4. You will see three options:

- Client Pays Fee: Select this option if you want your clients to cover the full cost of the transaction fees.

- Split Fee: This option allows you to share the cost of the transaction fees with your clients.

- Center Pays Fee: Choose this if your center will absorb the transaction fees entirely.

For Bank Transfers

1. Look for a section labeled Payment Settings.

2. Click on the checkbox to “Enable Card payments”.

3. Similar to credit card payments, you will have the same three options:

- Client Pays Fee

- Split Fee

- Center Pays Fee

Saving Your Settings

After selecting your preferred option for both credit card and transfer transaction fees, you will have the option to enable “show processing fees on the invoice” as indicated below:

When all the settings have been concluded, you should:

1. Click on the Save button to apply your changes.

2. A confirmation message should appear, indicating that your settings have been updated successfully.

- Reviewing Transactions: It's essential to regularly review how the transaction fees are applied. Be mindful of the possibility of changing the settings at any time by clicking on the “Settings” tab under the Billing feature.

- Client Notifications: Consider informing your clients about how transaction fees will be handled, so they are aware of any charges they may incur.
