Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your StoryChief account. Whenever you log into your account, after entering your username and password, you'll be asked for a second authentication code. Two-factor authentication requires you to install Google Authenticator (available on iOS and Android). To use Google Authenticator, you'll need to have the app installed on your iOS or Android device. Learn more here.

Watch our Academy video πŸ“Ή on Managing Account Settings for a step-by-step guide:

Set up two-factor authentication

Step 1. Click on your name at the top right of your dashboard and then click on Your Profile.

Step 2. Click on Security settings and confirm your password.

Step 3. Click on Enable Two-Factor

Step 4. Open Google Authenticator on your phone and scan the QR code. Google Authenticator will display a 6 digit code. Enter this code and click Confirm.

πŸ’‘ Tip: If you lose your phone, there's a possibility you could get locked out of your account. Copy and save the one-time recovery codes in a safe place, so you can use it later if you're not able to log in with your phone.
