When you upload your images Storypark resizes them to a maximum of 2048 x 2048px but display them on screen at a maximum of 960 x 960px. When you open the image editor the 2048px version of your image will display.

The exception to this is if you are on a slow internet connection we resize your images to a maximum of 1200 x 1200px in order to speed things up for you.

If you still wish to resize your images, you can follow the instructions below.

There are many ways to resize several images at once but the following steps will teach you how to do it with Microsoft Picture Manager (part of Microsoft Office).

  1. If you want to keep the original-sized images, you should make a copy of them and store the originals somewhere safe. Put your copied images into a new folder and call it something like 'Images to resize'.

  2. Open Microsoft Picture Manager.

  3. In the panel at the left, browse to the folder containing the photos you wish to resize.

  4. Click the 'Add' button to load all the images in your selected folder.

  5. Press CTRL+A to select all of the photos.

  6. Under 'Picture' in the menu, select 'Resize' from the drop-down menu.

  7. In the resize panel that opens you can select a predefined size. 'Document - Large' is a good option that won't make your images too small.

  8. Click 'OK'.

  9. You'll see a star next to each image's name showing that the changes haven't yet been saved.

  10. Click the save button at the top of the screen and your images will all now be saved at the smaller size.

Mac users

  5. Under 'Tools' in the menu choose 'Adjust Size...'.
