2. Under Settings, Select Other Payment Options
3. Click on Add
4. Add a STREAM x "PARTNER" payment type for each partner you're live with
Required for every active partner. Without the partner-specific payment type, orders from that partner will fail. These are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown. Examples:
STREAM x UBERSTREAM x DOORDASHSTREAM x GRUBHUBSTREAM x JETSTREAM x DELIVEROOSTREAM x SLICESTREAM x FANTUAN
NOTE: Only add the partners you're actually live with — you don't need every entry on this list.
ATTENTION PARTNERS
The name that should appear for the payment type should be your partner slug found on the Stream Partner Portal at partner.streamorders.com. The format is STREAM x "SLUG"
6. Select No to Disable Manager Approval
7. Save Payment Option
8. Publish your changes
NOTE: Publish your changes so that Stream can see these options as available
Troubleshooting
If orders from a specific partner are failing with the error "FAILED_CREATE_ORDER: Missing Alternative Payment Type in Toast POS" it means Toast doesn't have a STREAM x "PARTNER" payment type set up for that partner.
Check the following, in order:
A payment type named
STREAM x "SLUG"exists for the failing partner — all caps, no extra spaces, thexis lowercaseThe payment type was published in Toast (step 7) — creating it isn't enough
The payment type is active at the specific location receiving the order, not just at the restaurant group
Manager Approval is set to No
If all four are correct and orders are still failing, contact Stream support with the failing order ID and we'll investigate.
