Overview
Portfolios were created to help users organize documents and collaborate with team members. Portfolios can contain individual instruments or entire deals, allowing users to store and categorize documents by timeframe, industry, document type, and more. You can access the Term Analysis of documents and deals contained in a portfolio similarly to how you see it on the deal manager page, making comparing and working with selected deals easy and intuitive.
Creating Portfolios
There are several ways to add deals and documents to a portfolio:
In the Portfolio Manager, select Add Portfolios.
Name the portfolio and write a brief description of the deals it will contain.
To add deals, click Add Row. Then, select the deal, agreement type, and specific agreement you want to include. When you’re done, hit Save.
From the Document List or Deal List: Select the documents you want to include, click Actions, and choose Add to Portfolio.
From Compare Metrics: Select the instruments you want to include and add them to a portfolio from the Compare Metrics screen.
Accessing Portfolios
You can access portfolios throughout the platform on many pages:
Portfolio Manager Tab: Navigate to the Portfolio Manager tab to view and manage your portfolios.
Portfolios features
Portfolio Privacy: Upon creation, your portfolios will be private. To share a portfolio, use the Share With + icon on the left-hand side of the screen. The portfolio owner can control who has access to the data and what actions each individual can perform.
Comparing Items:
Similarly to the deal page, select the boxes next to items and click Compare to compare selected documents.
On the portfolio list, you can compare portfolios against other portfolios. Click into individual ones to compare documents inside portfolios.
Comments Section: Click on a portfolio to view its contents. Below the item list, the Comments section allows users to leave notes about the portfolio. These comments will be visible to others who have access to the portfolio.
Generating Reports: Use the Report icon inside the portfolio to create detailed reports, including the Compare Key Terms report and the Portfolio Summary.
Download Documents: Use this button to download the original PDFs of the documents in the portfolio.
To Delete a portfolio, select the checkbox next to its name and confirm deletion.
