Previewing Emails in Street
When creating a manual email in Street, it's possible to preview the content to show what information will be shown based on the merge fields.
It's important to note this preview feature only works when using a correspondence template in an email so if you've not set these up yet, here's our help article on how to do this.
Currently the preview merge field feature is not available for bulk emails or broadcasts however these may be added in the future. Additionally, previewing merge fields in emails is not available for notification preferences or correspondence and document templates themselves as these would need to use 'dummy' data, however these may also be added in the future.
Previewing Merge Fields
The first step is to go to any page where you can send an email and select a correspondence template which will populate in the email body with the content, including the merge fields.
With the template selected, you will now see a 'preview' toggle at the bottom of the email section.
Toggling this on will display what the data those merge fields will show when the email is actually sent.
Note - The merge field text is highlighted in yellow for preview purposes only - the email will be sent without the highlights.
