HomeLet is a UK market-leading provider of tenant referencing and specialist lettings insurance services for the private rental sector. With more than 30 years’ experience, it works with letting agents, landlords and tenants to streamline affordability checks, reduce risk and protect rental income.

The company offers a broad suite of products including tenant referencing, rent protection, landlord insurance and tenants’ contents insurance, and is used by over 3,700 letting agents across the UK. It also produces the widely used HomeLet Rental Index, providing data and insights on rental trends.

How do I integrate HometLet into Street?

HomeLet can be integrated with Street via an API access token. To get started, head to Settings (on the left side panel at the bottom) > Account Administration > Applications.

Note - You will need to be a Company Admin to access the Account Administration section and generate an API key.

In the 'create new application' section, add an application name (eg HomeLet, however this can be whatever you want it to be) and in the 'API token scope' drop-down select 'Open API'.

Finally, add a contact name and email address of who will be building the application. It is really important you enter your developer's details as opposed to your own details so we can notify them of any changes to the API that might impact your set up.

Once you've entered all of the information, click the 'create application' button and you will see an API access token appear. This token is what will be used to integrate HomeLet with Street.

Click the 'click to copy' button which will copy this API access token to your clipboard.

Note - It's important to ensure you copy the API token before navigating away from the page as the token will not display once you have left the page.

Share this API access token with HomeLet and they will be able to finalise the integration.
