Reposit Deposit Workflow
Reposit is a deposit replacement scheme available as an alternative to a traditional cash deposit. Instead of paying a lump sum upfront, tenants pay a smaller non-refundable fee to Reposit, which covers the landlord in the event of damage or unpaid rent.
Setting up Reposit
Before Reposit can be used, it needs to be added as a deposit scheme in your Accounting settings under the Deposits tab, by clicking 'Add New Deposit Scheme' and selecting Reposit as the scheme type. For more information on creating a deposit scheme, see this help article.
Selecting the Reposit deposit scheme
When confirming tenancy details, either as part of the lettings application or when creating a tenancy directly, you'll see a deposit section where you can select the deposit scheme. Here you cam choose your Reposit scheme from the dropdown and enter the deposit amount which will be recorded against the tenancy.
Note - The tenant invitation and enrolment process is handled directly through Reposit's platform - Street records which scheme is being used and tracks the deposit status, but the tenant's interaction with Reposit (identity verification, fee payment etc.) takes place outside of Street.
Adding the Reposit deposit during the lettings application
If progressing a lettings application, once Reposit is selected in the Tenancy Agreement tile, two deposit-related tasks appear in the Deposit tile.
In the Received Deposit section you can confirm that the tenant has completed their Reposit registration.
In the Register with Deposit Scheme section you can enter the policy number and optionally upload the certificate. When complete you can click 'Confirm Policy Active' to save the details.
Once saved, you can either go to the Deposits tab on the lettings application, click the three dot menu on the right hand side and click Edit.
From here you can enter the additional Reposit details including the policy type and end date, or make any edits to existing information if needed.
Adding the Reposit deposit after creating the tenancy directly
If you created the tenancy directly, head to the Deposit tab on the tenancy page and follow the same flow as above by clicking the three dot menu on the right hand side and clicking Edit to enter the relevant Reposit details
Extending a Reposit deposit
To extend a Reposit deposit, head to the tenancy page, click the three dot menu on the right and select Extend Policy.
