Logging an Email in Street
If you've already received an email outside of Street - for example, directly in Outlook or Gmail - you can log a copy of it onto a contact or property's activity feed without retyping it, by dragging the exported email file straight in.
Logging an email
Head anywhere in Street with an activity feed, and use the 'Log+' button:
Open the record's activity feed.
Click + Log, then choose Email.
In the Log an email window, drag your exported email file in (or click to browse for it). Accepted files are .eml or .msg, up to 25MB.
Check the preview, then click Log email to add it to the activity feed.
Note - The entry is dated using the email's own original send date and time, not the date you logged it - so it will appear in the right place in the timeline even if you log it later.
Attachments
If your email thread has an attachment, it will pull through to Street. You can see this when logging the thread, as well as in the activity feed.
Exporting the email file first
Most email services let you save, or drag a copy of an email as a file: in Outlook you can drag the email directly onto your desktop, or use Save As to create a .msg file. In Gmail, open the email and use the '⋮' next to your reply button, and use the 'Download message' option to save it as a .eml file.
