Re-listing a Let Property as To Let
When a tenancy is coming to an end and you're ready to re-market the property, you'll need to create a fresh listing. Depending on how you handled the Lettings Application for the existing tenancy, the steps required may vary.
Archiving the Existing Listing
Before you can re-list a lettings property you must first archive the current tenancy's listing. Archiving the listing will automatically remove it from all portals. The listing record stays in Street for reference, it's simply marked as archived.
Note - Archiving the listing does not end the tenancy. If the tenancy is still active in Street, you'll need to end it separately through the tenancy record before re-letting to new tenants.
Typically archiving the listing will be done as part of the lettings application process, as the final stage. However you can easily check by going to the property page and clicking Edit at the top right. If you see the option to Archive Lettings Listing, click this to archive the listing, allowing you to set up a new listing.
If you see 'withdraw lettings listing' it may be that you've not yet completed the lettings application. In this case, check the active lettings application for the active tenancy by going to the tenancy page and clicking the quick links drop down and select Application. From here you can complete the application from the 'manage' drop down, and archive the listing.
Re-Listing the Property
Once the old listing is archived, from the property page click 'Edit' again and this time select Make Available To Let.
This will open the listing form where you'll enter the new listing details, including the new listing price and deposit amount, as well as additional fields including availability date, minimum tenancy period and occupancy status. When ready, click 'save lettings listing' to proceed.
Creating the listing doesn't automatically publish it to portals so once the listing is created, you'll need to select your portals and publish as normal.
