What is Slack?

Slack is an instant messaging program designed for professional and organisational communications and integrates directly with Street, sending branch notifications to a Slack channel including instructions, viewings, offers, valuations and expiring certificates.

Note - Integrating Slack will send notifications to a single Slack channel. It's not possible to setup multiple channels to direct different notifications to.

How do I integrate Slack into Street?

Integration Slack requires an 'incoming webhook' to be generated in Slack and pasted into Street. To get start, head to Settings (on the left side panel at the bottom) > Account Administration > Integrations > Slack.

Note - Account integrations can only be activated by Company Admins. If you cannot see the Account Administration settings or cannot see Integrations, please speak to a Company Admin in your account.

Click the Configuration tab and then click the 'generate a webhook' button.

This will take you to Slack where you will need to ensure you're logged in to your Slack account. From there click the 'add to Slack' button and follow the instructions to generate a Webhook URL.

Once generated copy the URL, head back to Street and paste it into the branch webhook section.

Note - If you have multiple branches in Street you will need to generate separate webhooks.

With the webhook setup you can toggle on which notifications you want to come through to Slack.

Below are some examples of what these notifications will look like in Slack once integrated.

If you are unsure on any steps in the Integration process, please speak to your web developer who should be able to guide you through it.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
