Notes in Street

How notes work in Street

Notes

Most pages in Street allow you to add notes in the main activity stream, such as on an applicant, property, sales offer, tenancy etc.

Notes allow you to leave important details on the timeline for future reference, for example an applicant calling to chase up an offer or a tenant emailing about their upcoming renewal.

How notes work in Street

When you add a note to a page, it will automatically carry over and show on the relevant pages ensuring you have full visibility of the relevant information added in the notes section when viewing any page. This will show in the activity stream highlighting where the note was added, for example on the viewing for an applicant, and has a direct link so you can quickly navigate to the page where the note was added.

For a full list of where notes carry over from and to, see below.

Property pages will show notes from:

  • Valuations, Viewings, Sales offers, Sales, Owners, Tenancies, Enquiries on that property

    • Note - Lettings properties additionally show notes from their lettings applications

Sale page shows notes from:

  • Owners, Sales offers and sales chains linked to the sale, the property (only notes created during the sale's active progression window)

Sales offer page shows notes from:

  • Other sales offers in the same property/applicant group

  • Valuations, Sales, Tenancies, and the associated people

  • Properties they currently own (only while they're the current owner)

  • Currently-owned properties (via their owner links)

  • Viewings, Sales, Sales offers, associated people, and their enquiry

Lettings applicant page shows notes from:

  • Viewings, associated people, and their tenancy/lettings application

Lettings application page shows notes from:

  • Lettings offers linked to it

Viewing page shows notes from:

  • The related enquiry

Tenancy page shows notes from:

  • Inspections, Rent reviews, Arrears, Arrears reminders, and the lettings application

Adding a Note

To add a note, head to the activity stream and click into the Note section. Here you can type anything that you'd like to make note of and if it's important you can also click the 'pin to top' checkbox to pin that note to the top of the page.

You can also use the 'mention' feature by using the @ symbol to tag a colleague by using their username, eg @jonathanreid, or the entire branch by using @all.

When that note is saved, the user / branch will then receive an on screen notification as well as in their notification centre.

Editing a Note

To edit a note click the three dots on the right of the note and click 'edit note'. From here you can make any edits as well as see the history of any previous edits.

Editing a note will not move it's position in the activity stream, it will remain at the same date + time of when the note was originally recorded.

Additionally you can also pin / unpin an existing note from this section.

Note - It is not possible to delete a note once it has been saved, it can only be edited.
