What is Inventory Base?

Inventory Base is built for the residential & lettings market, allowing you to build unlimited property reports to capture property condition, photos and issues right from your mobile or tablet using the Inventory Base inspection app.

When you integrate Inventory Base into your Street account, you can create effortless property management and streamlined reporting, conducting detailed property inspections offline, creating efficiency and ensuring comprehensive reports, risk assessments and more.

Key features:

  • Import essential property data from Street.co.uk, including addresses, property types, detachment details, bedrooms, bathrooms, tenure notes, service charge notes, shared ownership notes, geolocation, landlord/owner information, and tenant details.

How do I integrate Inventory Base into Street?

Inventory Base can be integrated with Street via an API access token. To get started, head to Settings (on the left side panel at the bottom) > Account Administration > Applications:

Note - You will need to be a Company Admin to access the Account Administration section and generate an API key.

In the 'create new application' section, add an application name (eg Inventory Base, however, this can be whatever you want it to be) and in the the 'API token scope' drop-down select 'Open API'.

Finally, add a contact name and email address of who will be building the application. It is really important you enter your developer's details as opposed to your own details so we can notify them of any changes to the API that might impact your set up:

Once you've entered all of the information, click the 'create application' button and you will see an API access token appear. This token is what will be used to integrate Inventory Base with Street:

Click the 'click to copy' button which will copy this API access token to your clipboard.

Note - It's important to ensure you copy the API token before navigating away from the page as the token will not display once you have left the page.

Finally, share this API access token with Inventory Base and they will be able to finalise the integration.
