Archiving a property in Street

The process of archiving a property in Street simply removes the property from showing in the global search or in the properties table. It will also remove it from the Property Feed API and Open API (removing it from your website and any third party integrations), though developers can include this by using the include_archived flag.

It is important to note however that archiving doesn't delete the property or have any effect on any active listings, anything relating to sales or lettings (sales offer, lettings application etc) or anything to do with accounting. The property can still be viewed as normal when navigating from a sales offer to the property page for example.

How to archive a property

From the property page, click edit (at the top right) > archive property.

Once archived, the property will no longer show in the global search or on the property table. This can be a common cause of a property not showing as expected so it's always worth checking if it's been archived.

If you need to access the property again, head to the main property table from the left side bar and you will see a 'show archived' toggle which can be used to show any archived properties. Toggle this on and then search for the property to view it in the table.

How to unarchive a property

To unarchive a property, use the property table and toggle on 'show archived' as outlined above. From there click into the property page as normal and you will see a banner at the top to restore the property. Alternatively this can be found via edit > restore property.
