Can someone else use my charging station?

Yes, you can choose to make smart charging stations publicly accessible, so that others can charge their vehicle at your charging station.

Most charging stations offer options to restrict access. If you leave access open, anyone with a public charge card can use the charging station. This can be useful if you want your partner to be able to charge their vehicle at your charge point too.

You can do this with the 'Public reimbursement' package, which even allows you to set your own charging rate.

It's important to know that if you make your charging station publicly accessible, anyone with a charging app will be able to see your charge point in the app. This is a result of the most recent AFIR regulation. You can indicate in the name of your charge point that it is not accessible to everyone, but technically other EV drivers can then still use your charge point.
