What is split billing?

Split billing is a feature of eFleet Guard, the add-on for the STROOHM Platform. As an employer, it lets you decide up to which maximum rate your company covers your employees' public charging. Anything above that is paid by the employee.

How does it work?

  • You set the maximum AC rate and DC rate per kWh that the company reimburses. You do this per member group, in the settings for paying with the account's wallet.

  • The rate is calculated based on the total cost of the charging session (including all surcharges), divided by the number of kWh charged.

  • If an employee charges in public at a higher rate than your limit, only the part above the limit is charged directly to the employee. The rest goes to the company wallet.

You can find an overview of all split payments in the platform under Payment > Split billing. Split billing is not available without eFleet Guard. For more information, contact your account manager or sales@stroohm.com.
