Using Student Manager terminology, a short course is a single module offered to students. It is a stand alone module or subject with a single outcome of testing. A short course cannot be dependent on any other short course or subject. 

They will run for short time periods, generally under a year. 

Short courses differ from qualifications in that they do not require a curriculum or intake. The modules groups will manage the intakes of students.
