Creating tags for use with Students, Staff, Events, Tickets, Modules, Groups, Leads and Applications

Tags are a useful tool which allow for filtering in different parts of the system, this can influence the speed and accuracy of searches, adding an extra layer of customisation based on a users context or institutions workflow requirements.

Step 1. Navigating to Tags

Off the Main Menu, select More > Tags

N.B. Ensure you have access to this part of the system if you need to work here, if you are unsure of your access rights, please contact your system administrator.

Step 2. Selecting a tag category

By default the first option to select is the Student tag option, as this is the most commonly used, on selecting the Student, you will notice that a dropdown list appear allowing for different tag categories to be selected.

Step 3. Creating a tag within a tag category

In this example, the Lead category was selected, to the right select the blue Add link, a Create new Tag modal will load, create a Name and Description and choose a tag colour. 

Once a that is done, select  save.

Once it has been saved it will display the newly created tag in the list.
