In the article we go through how you can upload and share files with a group of learners have. Files could be audio video image or documents; these can be uploaded and shared with your learners.

There is also a short video at the end of this article which you can watch if you don't want to just go through the steps.

The two things that you need to make sure I done correctly when sharing files with learners as fast to upload the file into the parent directory say to the main home directory of your resources and the second is to make sure that all learners have access to the lining material option on the main menu when they login to the student portal.

So what we will do is we going to do it in two sections, the first part will be sharing the file and the second part will be giving learners access to the file.

Part 1 - Sharing the files

Expand the group details under the list of groups for your campus, then scroll down to the resources section. You can add files and links to the main directory, this means that you should add files and links directly without creating a folder first. Anything inside of a folder will not be accessible to learners.

Part 2 - Giving learners access to the files

Click More on the main menu and then Settings, and the settings you will navigate to Student Access and select that tab on the left-hand side of the screen. You must now check whether Show Learning Material has a check mark against it, if it does not have a check mark please select Edit and add the check mark this setting will allow learners to access the files.

Part 3 - Student View (Final Result)

If you set this up correctly, when the student logs in, they will now see a Learning Material option on the main menu. When they select a given course the re-sources which have been shared for that course will display on the right-hand side.
