Syncing your script ensures that your screenplay updates are pushed to the rest of your project. This way, you can start tagging elements and shot listing or work on any part of your project you need to tackle next.

Note: When syncing an updated screenplay with new scene numbers or sluglines, it will replace all existing scenes and related work throughout your project with the new scenes and changes. Your work isn't lost or deleted; you can always revert to a previous version of your stripboard.

Step 1 ⏤ Sync to project

Click Sync to Project in the top-right corner of the screenplay.

Step 2 ⏤ Review & confirm

In the pop-up, review Things to know about syncing a screenplay then click Apply once you're ready to continue.

Step 3 ⏤ Name screenplay revision

In the “Screenplay Name” pop-up, confirm or update the version name of your screenplay. Once ready, click Next.

Step 4 ⏤ Review changes

In the overlay, you can compare the existing screenplay with the updated version. Changes are color-coded: removed scenes appear in red, added scenes in green, and revised scenes in blue. Click 'Sync Script' to complete the process.

Note: You can click on a scene to open it up and see the changes.
