How to edit your screenplay

Learn how to make changes to your script

StudioBinder’s screenwriting tool allows you to write, revise, and manage your screenplay directly within your project. Whether you’re drafting your script or making revisions after importing, you can make edits at any time from the Screenwriting tab. Follow along to learn how.

Step 1 ⏤ Open all projects

Click the Projects tab on the sidebar to view all projects.

Note: If you see the project you want to edit within your recent projects widget, you can click it there and then skip to Step 3.

Step 2 ⏤ Open your project

Click on your project from the Projects page to open it.

Step 3 ⏤ Open screenwriting editor

Hover over the Write icon in the project sidebar and select Screenwriting from the drop-down menu.

Step 4 ⏤ Edit your script

Click into the script editor to start typing or making changes. Your edits will be saved automatically every 20 seconds.
