Taking quizzes uses a studying technique called active recall. This allows you to learn and improve long-term retention by testing yourself.
There are two kinds of quizzes you can take on Studyclix:
A randomised Studyclix quiz (5 or 10 questions randomly chosen from our bank of questions on that subject/topic)
A teacher quiz (between 5-30 questions chosen by your teacher from our bank of questions on that subject/topic)
Taking a randomised Studyclix quiz
You can take a quiz at any time. Depending on your access (Basic or Plus/Premium), you will either be able to do 5 or 10 questions per quiz (see more here).
1. Select the subject you'd like to take a quiz in from your homepage.
2. Click "Take a quiz" while on the subject page.
3. Choose the topic(s) you'd like to be quizzed on.
Tip!
You can also open a topic from the subject homepage and click 'Take a quiz' from within the topic.
4. The system will generate quiz questions related to the topic(s) you chose. The quiz will tell you when you're right and wrong, along with an explanation of the correct answer.
Understanding question types
Multiple choice
When you're on a multiple-choice question, you'll see a question and between 2-4 answers (usually 4) for you to choose from. One of these will be the correct answer.
True/False
For these questions, you'll see a question and two options: true or false.
Open
With open questions, you won't see any answer options. Instead, you'll need to come up with the answer yourself and type it into the text box provided.
Our quizzes have a typo logic built in, meaning for most questions, if you misspell the answer, you'll still be marked correct, so don't worry too much about getting the spelling right!
View quiz results
Click 'My Results' from the left-side menu on the Studyclix homepage to keep track of your quiz results
This lets you look back on quizzes you took in the past. Click on any of them to see a breakdown of what you got right and wrong.
Taking a quiz shared by your teacher
If your teacher has created a quiz on Studyclix and has given you a code, enter it in the 'Have a code?' box on the homepage in the space provided:
Your teacher will be able to see your quiz results once you finish the final question.
What plan do I need to access quizzes?
Unlimited access to our quizzes is available on both our Plus and Premium plans.
This means 10 questions per quiz, and you'll get a new set of questions each time you take a quiz.
With a Basic plan, you can only take 5 questions per quiz, and you'll see the same questions each time.
