Troubleshooting issues with school licence upgrades

Find out why a school upgrade might not be working on your account

Updated over 3 months ago

Issue: The automated account upgrade through the student’s email address hasn’t applied

To investigate the reason why this has occurred, we need to first rule out if there is an issue with the student’s account.

To start, click the profile icon in the top right corner and open 'Account settings':

Then check the following:

That the account’s email address is the student’s school-provided email address

-> This can be updated by clicking the edit pencil

That the student’s school is correct

-> To update this, the student should contact info@studyclix.ie from their school email address, and the customer support team can assist.

If the email address and school association match but the plan is Student Basic, please log out, clear the browser's cache & cookies and log back in.

When logged back in, go to 'Account settings'. If the account’s plan still reads as Student Basic, please contact info@studyclix.ie

Issue: The upgrade code is not working

Please note:

  • The upgrade code is not the student’s account password.

  • The upgrade code is not the 6-digit verification code that is sent when creating an account. This is emailed to the address provided.

The code should be entered in the box on the right-hand side of the Studyclix home page when logged in.

If the code is not accepted on this screen, please open 'Account settings' and ensure the student’s school association and year level are correct.

If the school association needs to be updated or if the code still doesn’t work, please contact info@studyclix.ie with the code you’re trying to use and the email address linked to the Studyclix account.

Issue: The student is not receiving the email with a 6-digit verification code needed to create or update their account.

Please check the email’s spam folder first and foremost.

If not received, please contact info@studyclix.ie to report this. It is likely that your school’s email domain has not permitted emails to be received from external domains, and we can liaise with the school to remedy this.
