How to: filter questions/search for keywords (teachers)

Drill down into topics to find exactly what you're looking for.

Updated over 3 months ago

Some topics have a lot of questions in them, making it harder to find a subgroup or specific types of questions that you might be looking for.

Our solution to this is the question filter/keyword search bar available at the top of the list of questions on a topic page.

Keyword search

To search for a keyword, type the word into the search bar and click 'Enter' on your keyboard or the magnifying glass icon on the search bar.

1. Click the "Search keyword" field.

2. Type a keyword and click the Enter key on your keyboard or click the magnifying glass icon.

Tip!

A green bar will appear, telling you if the keyword was found in the question, the marking scheme, or both.

Filter by year or question

Use these options to find specific years or questions.

Example use case 1:

You might know a question in a topic was particularly hard in 2014 and want to show that question to your students. Instead of scrolling to find it within the topic, you can filter quickly.

Example use case 2:

A particular topic might appear in short questions or long questions in an exam. Let's say the long questions are always in the exam as 'Question 7'. So you can use the question filter to instantly show only the Question 7 results.

Tip!

Our filters and keyword search can be used in combination. E.g. you can filter for a keyword AND a specific year.

Add filtered questions to your collections

Consider filtering questions and then adding those to a collection for later. This could save you precious time!

Tip!

Want to search for a keyword/filter questions across more than just one topic?
