How to Add Battery Modes to a Proposal?

The updated Battery Module introduces a more flexible and streamlined workflow by allowing users to select battery modes both in the battery database and during proposal creation. Users can also define backup percentages and manage more precise battery pricing, helping create proposals that better reflect the selected battery setup. This results in greater accuracy, improved consistency, and a smoother experience when working with solar and battery projects.

Follow the steps below to add battery modes to the proposal.

Step 1: Click “Manage Database” from the main menu and select “Database” from the dropdown.

Step 2: Select “Batteries” from the dropdown under “Batteries”.

Step 3: Choose the preferred battery from the list and click the “View Detail” button.

Step 4: Scroll down to Battery Mode and select the preferred ones among Backup Battery, Energy Arbitrage, and Self Consumption.

Step 5: The price information additionally comes with the Arbitrage Only Amount and Backup/ Self Consumption Amount rows.

Step 6: You will also get the pricing options under Add Price.

Step 7: You can set up the Backup/ Self Consumption Price and Arbitrage Price in this section as well.

Step 8: In the proposal creation page, switch on the toggle beside “Do you want to add a battery?”. The selected battery modes will appear under the Battery mode. You can also switch on the toggle beside backup.

Step 9: If a battery mode is selected, the backup percentage is set to 20% by default, which the user can change to the required percentage.

Note: The list of batteries will depend on the battery modes selected. If no battery mode is selected, then the backup percentage is set to 100% and it cannot be edited.
