Product Details Page
What it does
The Product Details page is where you view and manage everything about a single product. It shows the product's cutsheet PDF on the left and all metadata, actions, and notes on the right.
Page layout
Left side — PDF Viewer
Displays the product's cutsheet or datasheet PDF inline. If no PDF is attached, a placeholder message appears. You can click "Open PDF in new tab" to view it full-screen in your browser.
Right side — Product Info
Part Numbers — each part number is shown as a clickable badge. Click one to edit its tags and notes.
Manufacturer — the product manufacturer.
Category — a dropdown to assign or change the product's trade category.
Groups — badges showing which groups the product belongs to, with options to add or remove.
Notes & Activity
At the bottom of the right side, you can add notes to the product. Type your note and press Enter or click the send button. All notes are displayed in reverse chronological order with timestamps.
Header actions
The top of the page has action buttons:
Edit (pencil icon) — opens the Edit Product modal to change title, manufacturer, description, and upload a new PDF.
Get Specs with AI (sparkles icon) — runs AI analysis on the cutsheet to extract part number specifications.
Ask Rep (mail icon) — AI-drafts an email to a manufacturer rep about this product.
Status badge — shows the product's current status (Draft, Approved, Rejected, etc.) color-coded for quick reference.
