Get Specs with AI
What it does
The "Get Specs with AI" feature uses artificial intelligence to analyze a product's cutsheet PDF and extract detailed specifications for each part number. It identifies model numbers, wattage, voltage, color temperature, dimensions, and other technical data automatically.
How to use it
Open the Product Details page for a product that has a PDF cutsheet attached.
Click the Get Specs with AI button (sparkles icon) in the header.
Wait while the AI analyzes the PDF. A loading spinner shows "Analyzing part numbers against cutsheet..." This typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on the complexity of the document.
When analysis is complete, a results modal shows each part number with:
Part Number — the identified model or catalog number.
Confidence Level — High (green), Medium (amber), or Low (red) indicating how confident the AI is in its extraction.
Description — an editable description that will be saved as notes.
Tags — labels for each segment of the part number (for example, "LED" = type, "4000" = color temp). You can edit or remove individual tags.
Warnings — any issues the AI detected, such as low confidence or ambiguous data.
Review and edit the results as needed, then click Accept & Save All to save the extracted specs to the product.
Things to know
The product must have a PDF cutsheet attached for this feature to work.
You can edit all extracted data before saving — the AI results are suggestions, not final.
Low-confidence results are flagged with a warning. Review these carefully before accepting.
