What it does

The "Ask Rep" feature uses AI to draft a professional email inquiry to a manufacturer representative about a specific product. This saves time when you need pricing, availability, lead times, or technical details.

How to use it

  1. Open the Product Details page for the product you want to inquire about.

  2. Click the Ask Rep button (mail icon) in the header.

  3. The AI drafts an email based on the product's details. Wait a moment while it generates the content.

  4. In the email composer that appears, you can:

    • Edit the To field with the rep's email address (comma-separated for multiple recipients).

    • Edit the Subject line.

    • Modify the message body as needed.

  5. Choose how to send:

    • Send Email β€” sends the email directly through the app.

    • Save as Outlook Draft β€” creates a draft in your connected Microsoft Outlook account so you can review and send from Outlook.

    • Copy β€” copies the email body to your clipboard.

Things to know

  • If the product has a PDF cutsheet attached, it will be referenced in the email.

  • The "Save as Outlook Draft" option requires a connected Microsoft account. If you are not connected, you will be prompted to sign in.
