Create a Submittal

What it does

The Create Submittal form lets you build a new submittal package by selecting products from your catalog and filling in project metadata.

How to create a submittal

  1. Go to the Submittals page and click Create Submittal, or select products on the Products page and click Create Submittal from the bulk actions bar.

  2. Fill in the submittal form:

    • Title — the submittal name (for example, "Division 26 Lighting").

    • Submittal Number — your tracking number.

    • Date — the submittal date (uses a date picker).

    • CSI Section — select the relevant CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) division from the dropdown.

    • Description — additional context about the submittal.

    • Contractor / Preparing Firm / Construction Manager — the parties involved.

    • Manufacturer / Supplier / Subcontractor — the product source.

    • Architect — the reviewing architect.

    • Installation Location — where products will be installed.

    • Drawing Number — reference drawing number.

  3. If you started from the Products page, your selected products are pre-loaded. Otherwise, select products to include.

  4. Click Create to generate the submittal.
