Documents
What it does
The Documents page stores project-level documents such as specifications, drawings, installation instructions, and certifications. These documents can be used for spec comparisons and as reference material.
Document types
Type | Purpose |
Specification | Project specifications that define product requirements. Used in the "Compare to Spec" feature. |
Drawing | Architectural or engineering drawings. |
Installation Instruction | Manufacturer installation guides. |
Certification | Product certifications, test reports, or compliance documents. |
How to use
Search — filter documents by name or type using the search bar.
View/Download — click a document to open it in a new tab, or click the download icon.
Delete — remove a document with the delete button. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion.
How documents are added
Documents are typically added automatically when you use features like "Compare to Spec" (which saves uploaded specs to the Documents library). You can also upload documents directly from the Documents page.
