Auto Shutoff automatically turns off a workstation that has been accidentally left on. When Auto Shutoff is enabled for a workstation, the workstation will automatically power off after a set amount of time without any keyboard or mouse input from a user. It works in a similar manner to how your computer will put itself to sleep after a period of inactivity.
💡 Even if Auto Shutoff is enabled, you’ll still want to power down your workstation when you are done so that you can save the extra credits!
How do I enable Auto Shutoff?
1. In the Suite Dashboard, on the left-hand side, select the workstation for which you wish to enable Auto Shutoff
2. When the workstation information appears on the right-side panel, click the "Configure Auto Shutoff" button
3. Click the "Enable" toggle on the Configure Auto Shutoff page
4. Select the desired amount of time
5. Click "Confirm Change" to save the settings
❗️ Auto Shutoff tracks mouse clicks and keyboard clicks; if the workstation is completing a render, download, automation, or process without user input, Auto Shutoff may stop your workstation mid-process if there is user input.
If you are rendering a video or downloading a large file and you won’t be on your workstation for longer than the Auto Shutoff timer, disable Auto Shutoff OR increase the Auto Shutoff timer.
