Understanding Suite's Cache

How Suite's Cache works and and how it improves performance

Updated this week

What is the Cache for?

Lag can occur when your internet speed can't keep up with the bitrate of your media. To solve this, Suite uses the cache to store recently accessed data, reducing reliance on available internet speeds.

This is especially beneficial for a smooth experience in environments with less-than-ideal connectivity—whether you're at home, on set, or on the go!

How Suite’s cache works

Suite’s “On-Demand” cache is intelligently designed to store small, recently accessed bits of data rather than entire files (as seen in some other cloud-based solutions).

By caching only essential bits of data, Suite optimizes performance, reducing lag or latency when you’re working with heavy files.

Suite’s “On Demand” cache is also designed to automatically cycle out old cached data, so set and forget and let Suite do the heavy lifting for you!
