My subscription isn't working on my new device

How to restore access to your Summary AI subscription after switching devices or reinstalling the app.

Switched to a new phone or reinstalled Summary AI? Your subscription and all your summaries are tied to your account — not your device. Here's how to get everything back.

Step 1: Sign in with the same account

Make sure you sign in with the exact same Google or Apple account you used when you first subscribed. This is the most common reason subscriptions don't appear — signing in with a different account creates a new, separate account.

Step 2: Restore your subscription

If you're signed in with the correct account but your subscription still isn't showing:

  1. Open Summary AI and tap the PRO button in the top-right corner of the main screen.

  2. On the upgrade page, tap the Restore button in the top-right corner.

  3. Wait for the confirmation message. Once restored, a confirmation screen will appear.

On iOS — check your Apple ID

Your App Store subscription is linked to your Apple ID. Make sure:

  • You're signed into the App Store with the same Apple ID used to purchase.

  • Go to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions to confirm Summary AI shows as active.

On Android — check your Google Account

Your Google Play subscription is linked to your Google Account. Make sure:

  • You're signed into Google Play with the same account used to purchase.

  • Go to Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions to confirm Summary AI shows as active.

What about my summaries?

Your summaries are stored in the cloud and linked to your account. Once you sign in with the correct account, they will reappear automatically.
