Get back in touch with your expired fans (subs): Send them PPVs, and get them to resubscribe

Updated over a week ago

The Follow-Back automation helps you re-engage with your expired subscribers.

It follows your fans when their subscription gets expired, which allows you to continue messaging with them.

Use it to increase the number of spenders returning to your page after their subscription expired - this will increase your fans' spending.

How is this helpful?

  • Increase fans' spending: The Follow-Back allows you to send PPVs to your expired fans and continue chatting with lost spenders.

  • Increase retention: Win back your expired fans easily. Simply start a conversation, or offering a gift in return for resubscribing. We noticed that about 20-25% of expired subs return when you make this effort.

How does it work?

The Follow-back follows 100-300 expired fans each day automatically.

By following your expired fans, OnlyFans allows you to message them in private conversations or mass messaging, including sending PPVs.

In other words, the Follow-Back automation lets you bring back old spenders, or sell content even after your fans' subscription is over. Without the Follow-Back, you can't sell content or message an expired fan.

To maximize revenue, the Auto-Follower has an intelligent priority system that follows your high spenders first.

Using the Auto-Follower is very easy, it starts working immediately and requires zero effort. If you want to change the settings or stop its functionality - Go to the Automation page, and look for Follow-Back Expired Fans.

⚠️ Our Follow-Back follow rate is limited to match the limitations from OnlyFans.
You may experience a slow rate at the beginning, since the automation needs some time to scan all your expired fans!

Use cases and best practices

Here are examples of what you can do with the Follow-Back bot. These are actions to increase earnings from your expired Fans:

Include your Expired fans in Super Mass messages

We highly recommend you start including Expired fans in your Super Mass messages, especially mass PPVs. This can multiply your sales instantly.

In the second step of creating a Super Mass, "Refine your target", choose to take fans from Active and Expired fans.

By including both Active and Expired fans, your message will be sent to 2X, 4X, and even 10X more fans.

Sending a Super Mass message ONLY to Expired Fans (without Active fans)

Send a separate message to expired fans:

  1. You can offer them gifs in exchange for re-subscribing, tease them with your new content, or initiate a conversation to get their interest in you again.

  2. Send them old or mild content, that isn't exclusive to subscribers, and make them purchase content even they're not subscribed.

In the first step of creating a Super Mass, "Choose your message target", choose Expired Fans target:

Initiate conversations with expired spenders via chatting

Supercreator lets you show or filter out fans right from your inbox.
You can set a spending threshold for the Auto-Follower, and start 1:1 conversation with your lost spenders.

Remember! The fact they're expired doesn't mean they can't buy PPVs with the Auto-Follower.

  1. Include your Expired fans in Super Mass messages: We highly recommend you start adding your Expired fans to your regular mass messages, especially mass PPVs with Personalized Pricing.
This can multiply your sales instantly.

  2. Send a Super Mass message ONLY to Expired Fans: Send a message exclusive to your expired fans.

    1. Offer them special discounts or promos for old content.

    2. Remind them of your awesome content with previews.

  3. Initiate conversations with expired spenders via chatting: Supercreator lets you show or filter out fans right from your inbox.
You can set a spending threshold for the Auto-Follower, and start 1:1 conversation with your lost spenders.

Troubleshooting

Turn off email notification

Sometimes you can get email notifications from OnlyFans regarding your following.

This can be pretty annoying, therefore, it's best to disable those notifications.

To turn off email notifications, go Notification setting on OnlyFans, and toggle Off "Important subscription notifications".

❗️There’s a toggle in OnlyFans that directly contradicts everything the Auto-Follower tries to do - If this setting is turned on https://onlyfans.com/my/settings/fans, it unfollows fans the moment their subscription expires.

That means that we’ll hit the limit of the daily following WITHOUT the auto-follower ever doing anything. Please make sure to have it turned OFF in all accounts using the auto-follower.
