Yes, organizers can click "Hide Comment" next to a message to remove it from public view.

Can I block or remove a follower?
There isn't a way to block or remove a specific follower right now. A few things that can help: if someone leaves unwanted comments, you can Hide them as above; and keep in mind that anyone with your registry's public link can view the page even if they aren't a registered follower or supporter, so a person you don't recognize may simply be visiting the link rather than following you.
