We suggest:
The day after launch
Every other day for the first 2-3 weeks
Then once per week
But this is your journey. Post as often, or as little, as feels right.
Updates don’t need to be long or polished - just short, real touch points (ideally with a photo) that share a moment from your life.
These small check-ins help supporters feel connected and can encourage messages, donations, or volunteering.
Four effective types of updates:
Gratitude – Thank people for their support and kindness.
Small Progress – Share any forward movement, even small steps (appointments scheduled, forms submitted, small wins). This shows their support is making an impact.
Hard Day / Good Day – Offer an honest glimpse into your daily reality, whether things feel heavy or hopeful. Authenticity builds trust.
Clarification – Answer common questions, explain how funds are being used, or share why support is especially important right now.
The key: keep it simple, honest, and human.
