SupportNow is free to use — no platform fees, no subscriptions, no ads.
The "Round Up" at checkout is a fixed 13% added on top of the donation. It's optional and simple by design — donors can include it or leave it unchecked, whichever works best for them. For example, a $20 donation with roundup becomes $22.60.
The roundup covers more than the payment processing fee. When a donor rounds up, the family keeps 100% of the intended donation, and the roundup also funds the technology, security, fraud prevention, customer support, and free resources (like Connect, our database of medical grants) that let us offer SupportNow without charging families anything. It's what makes us the only family-first fundraising platform built this way — not just a processing-fee cover.
If a donor declines the roundup, that's completely fine too — a 2.7% processing fee is deducted from the donation instead, and the family still keeps more than they would on most other platforms.
