This walkthrough teaches you how to connect a domain or subdomain to your website inside the platform. It covers manual DNS record setup and domain verification. Perfect for anyone linking custom domains without disrupting an existing site.

Root/Sub-Domain

1. WARNING: If you have this domain connected to a live website, make sure you connect a sub-domain instead. Connecting your root domain will take down your current website. The subdomain connection is shown at the end of this training!

1

2. Navigate to the left side bar under "Funnels & Websites", then select "Domains".

2

3. Next up, click on "Add Domain".

3

4. Afterwards, enter the root or subdomain into the textbox. Root example "creatorhq.ai", subdomain example "join.creatorhq.ai".

4

5. Afterwards, click on "Add record manually".

5

6. In another tab, please head over to your DNS Records within your domain provider.

6

7. Then, click on "Add New Record" (it may look a little different depending on which proivder you have).

7

8. Now, we need to copy the record, host, and value into the DNS Records.

8

9. Enter all of the records into the correct fields. Host = Name in some providers.

9

10. Now, copy the second set of value into your DNS Records.

10

11. Enter all of the values into their respective areas. Once Complete, click "Save All Records".

11

12. Click on "Verify records".

12

13. Be prepared to have to to verify the domain a few times if it fails. It might take some time to update on the backend.

13

14. Next, select the funnel/website page you would like that domain to connect to. This will be the default page of that domain!

14

15. Now, click on "Link Domain".

15

16. Now, we will add a subdomain to our account as well. These can be useful when creating separate funnels/pages for your business!

16

17. Following that, enter the subdomain you would like to connect. Some examples would be "join.yourdomainname.com" or "info.yourdomainname.com".

17

18. Click on "Add record manually".

18

19. Head to your DNS Provider in another tab, and add a new record.

19

20. Next, copy the values into your DNS Records.

20

21. You will only need one record for the subdomain!

21

22. After that, click on "Save".

22

23. Click on "Verify records". You may need to verify the new subdomain a few times for it to go through!

23
