Surfe API – Understanding Rate Limits
To keep the Surfe API fast and reliable for everyone, there’s a limit to how many requests you can make in a short amount of time. This is called a rate limit.
What Are the Limits?
You can make up to 10 requests per second.
Short bursts of up to 20 requests are allowed.
The limit resets every minute.
What Happens If You Go Over?
If you send too many requests too quickly, you’ll get a message like this:
"Rate limit exceeded"
This means you’ve gone over the allowed limit, and your request has been temporarily blocked.
What Should You Do?
Slow down your requests – Wait a few seconds before trying again.
Try again later – The system resets every minute, so you won’t be blocked for long.
Avoid repeated rapid calls – This helps prevent hitting the limit.
