Can I attach a trailer/child seat to the SUSHI BIKE 3.0/3.0+?

Updated over 2 months ago

Child trailers:

In principle, it is technically possible to attach them to our SUSHI BIKES 3.0/3.0+. Many commercially available child trailers can therefore also be attached to our models. Our e-bikes have a standardised axle to which the appropriate couplings/adapters can be attached.

Important note:

Currently, there is no official approval for the use of child trailers with our e-bikes. This means that no safety-related tests have been carried out for this use. Therefore, we cannot make any binding recommendations and accept no liability for the use of child trailers with our e-bikes.

Use at your own risk

If you nevertheless decide to use a child trailer with your e-bike, you do so at your own risk. Please pay particular attention to:

  • the maximum permissible total weight according to the trailer and e-bike manufacturers,

  • proper installation of the trailer,

  • adjusted riding behaviour (especially braking distance, cornering behaviour, stability),

  • and the legal requirements for transporting children in road traffic.

Child seats:

Unlike child trailers, the use of child seats is officially approved. We can provide you with the relevant information and also have the right alternative in our range. You can find the BoBike Go Maxi child seat in our accessories shop.

The advantages of the BoBike Go Maxi at a glance:

  • Officially approved for our e-bikes

  • Simple click-and-go mounting system

  • High side panels for added protection

  • Adjustable footrests and safety belt

  • Stylish, child-friendly design

Important note:

If you are interested in mounting a child seat on the luggage rack, it is important to know that most luggage racks are not designed to carry child seats and children. This also applies to the luggage racks offered in our shop. If you are interested in this option, please ask your specialist dealer about the available options.
