Project names, filenames, and folder names in the Xpedition Viewer application must comply with specific requirements to ensure compatibility with schematic design and layout tools. Use valid alphanumeric characters when creating and editing project names.

Some control characters manipulate how a printer generates output (Shift-Return or “line feed”, Enter, and so forth), but does not generate a visible printed character. Therefore, do not use control characters in a project name.

Note: String types support ASCII printable characters, but not Extended ASCII code. The term “alphanumeric characters” means keyboard characters A through Z, a through z, and 0 through 9.

The following table shows the valid ASCII printable characters and conditions for project names, files, folders, and collaboration workspace names in the Xpedition Viewer application. All other ASCII printable characters are prohibited.

- (hyphen)

_ (underscore)

% (percent)

= (equals sign)
