Viewing Folders and Filenames

Organize and arrange schematic and layout design output files and associated ancillary data files associated with a project.

Use the Files page in the Xpedition Viewer application to view folders that organize and arrange schematic and layout design output files (.cce files) and associated ancillary data files (such as datasheets, part specifications, customer requirements, budgets, and schedules) associated with project design.

Prerequisites

  • You selected a project the Projects page.

  • The Files page displays in your web browser for the selected project.

Procedure

Perform any of the following operations from the Files page:

Do this.

Search for a filename, folder name, or owner (author) name.

  1. (Optional) Select a folder name.

  2. Type the first characters of the filename, folder name, or owner (author) name.

    The contents in the window dynamically updates based on the matching characters you type in the field. A message displays if there are no matching filenames, folder names, or owner names.

  3. To reset the search field, click Clear Search.

Toggle the view mode.

Click Change View and choose one of the following:
Table View

Tile View

Sort tiles (Tile view).

  1. Click Change Sort.

  2. Select the sort order type:

  • Latest (most recently created date)

  • Oldest

  • Alphabetical

Sort items in a column (Table View only).

Click the column header and choose the sort order method from the popup menu (Sort Ascending and Sort Descending). By default, entries in the selected column are not sorted (No Sorting).

You can sort only one column at a time.

Note: When you exit the Files page, the column sort order inherits the “No Sorting” (default) setting.

Reorder columns using the mouse (Table View).

Click and drag a column heading cell to the left or right and then drop into the new location in the table.

The column order settings are persistent until you change them in the table.
