We’ve added new intelligence, richer context, and smoother workflows to help you choose the right component faster — with more confidence. Here’s what’s new:

  1. Sustainability & compliance data
You can now see new parametric fields for Component Weight and Carbon Footprint directly in PartQuest Portal. This makes it easier to evaluate environmental impact and support compliance and reporting requirements early in the design process.

  2. Expanded component coverage
We’ve added new sub-categories of components sourced from Siemens Supplyframe and partner Accuris. That means broader coverage across more device types — and better chances of finding exactly what you need without leaving the workflow.

  3. Search Plugin in Xpedition Designer now shows ECAD models
When you use the PartQuest Search Plugin in Designer, you’ll now get direct access to ECAD viewers for symbols, footprints, and 3D models directly from the plugin. You can visually confirm what you’re pulling in before you commit it to your design. (supported in PADS Pro Essentials and Xpedition Standard as of 2510)

  4. Faster, cleaner search experience
We’ve streamlined the search UI for quicker scanning and decision-making, including instant access to component web links. Less digging, fewer clicks, more context.

  5. Stability and performance improvements
We’ve delivered a round of fixes and tuning under the hood to improve overall responsiveness and reliability.

All updates are live in PartQuest Portal now. Jump in, try the new data and viewers, and let us know what helps you most.
