Use the Search feature in the Connect application to find and quickly access a specific project name, project version, folder names, and filenames associated with any project in the collaboration space.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • Do not use wildcard characters in the Search field.

Prerequisites

  • The Connect application is open and one or more projects are available in your collaboration space.

  • You need to find a specific project name, project version, filename, file type, or folder name in the collaboration space.

Procedure

  1. In the Connect application banner (top right corner), click the icon to display the Search tool.

  2. Type the item name or description that you want to find in the collaboration space.
When you type the first three alphanumeric characters, the dropdown list expands to display up to four project names, project versions, filenames, and folder names that match the search criteria you entered. Search results are grouped by category.

Tip: Use filter options to display items in the dropdown list by a specific category (click Projects, Folders, Files, or Versions). Click All to display up to four entries for each category that match the search criteria. Contents displayed in the dropdown list immediately refresh based on the category you select.

A message displays when no items in the collaboration space match the search criteria you entered. Click Start Again and Reset Filters and repeat this step or click Use Advanced Search to perform a more refined search.

  3. (Optional) Click Load more <Category Name> to display all items in a category that match the search criteria (for example, Load more Projects).

  4. Scroll through the items in the dropdown list and then select the item you are searching for.
The Connect application refreshes to display the project name, project version, folder, or filename you selected. The dropdown list displays until you enter new search criteria or collapse the list (click X).

  5. (Optional) Repeat Steps 1 through 4 to start a new search or select a previous search criteria name from the dropdown list.

Tip: The Search dropdown list displays the four most recent search criteria you typed in the Search field. Click Clear to remove all previously entered search criteria from the dropdown list.

  6. (Optional) Click Advanced Search to display the search results in a viewer that include additional filtering options.
