What is Connect for Xpedition?

Connect is a cloud-hosted application that gives Xpedition users an easy way to collaborate on design reviews regardless of where teams are located. More specifically, the Connect application enables Xpedition's new Remote Collaboration capability empowering engineers to easily collect design review feedback from remote stakeholders. Design snapshots (also known as collaboration data) exported to Connect from either Designer or Layout can be shared with remote team members for design review. Reviewers can simply log into the Connect application using a browser to view the collaboration data and provide feedback using Connect's powerful view and markup capability and the collaboration panel.

How to collaborate using Xpedition and Connect

Collaboration using Connect can be done from either Xpedition Designer or Layout. From the File menu, select Export>Remote Collaboration. If prompted to sign in to Connect, enter your email ID and password, and select Sign In.

After signing in you will be prompted to either create a new Connect project or select an existing project before uploading.

Xpedition will then upload the design snapshot data to the project you defined in your Connect collaboration space.

Your design snapshot is now exported to Connect and ready for you to invite collaborators to your project to review your design.
