A targeted payout lets you define a different WeGet and/or TheyGet for conversions that match specific targeting criteria - for example, a higher payout for US traffic than UK traffic on the same offer.
ℹ️ Targeted payouts take highest priority in the payout hierarchy:
Special publisher payout → Targeted payout → Default payout
If a conversion matches a targeted payout's criteria, that payout is used regardless of any special or default payout configured on the offer.
How to create a targeted payout
Go to Offer → Payouts → Targeted.
Click + New Payout
Enter a Name for this targeted payout
Select the Event it applies to
Optionally select a Publisher - if none selected, the targeted payout applies to all publishers on the offer
Enter WeGet, TheyGet, or Margin (or any combination)
Set the Targeting criteria (see options below). See more about targeting fields, operations, and values here.
Click Save
For example, the payout below will be assigned for conversions from Germany done from iOS device:
👥 Clone a targeted payout
After saving a targeted payout, click the Clone button to duplicate it with the same settings. Useful when creating multiple similar targeted payouts - clone one and adjust the targeting or payout values rather than creating each from scratch.
Identifying targeted payouts on the Publishers tab
Once a targeted payout is set up, you'll see a purple T icon in the Payout column on the Offer → Publishers tab. This indicates a targeted payout is active for that offer.
To view or edit targeted payouts, go to Offer → Payouts → Targeted.
Bulk setup - multiple country payouts at once
If you have a large list of countries with different payouts, use the Multiple tab instead of creating them one by one.
Go to Offer → Payouts → Targeted → Multiple.
Paste your payouts in CSV format - one per line: CountryCodes,WeGet,TheyGet,Margin
Rules:
Multiple countries on one line: separate with
|- e.g.US|CA,5.00,3.00,WeGet, TheyGet, and Margin are all optional - leave empty if not needed
Example:US,5.00,3.50,orGB|IE,4.00,,30
Once saved, Swaarm automatically creates individual targeted payouts named by country code.
ℹ️ The UK shows as GB (Great Britain), not UK.
Example - US and UK with different payouts
You have an offer targeting both the US and UK, with different rates for each:
Set up the offer with both countries selected in the General tab
Go to Targeted → New Payout and add a payout for UK:
and then for the US:
Result: UK conversions use the $5.00 targeted payout, US conversions fall back to the $4.00.
ℹ️ If multiple countries share the same payout, you can add them all in a single rule - select User > Geo Country, set Operation to in, and add all the countries as values. This creates one targeted payout that applies to all of them, rather than a separate payout per country.
